Myrmecia froggatti(First generation)

$950.00

Introducing Myrmecia froggatti – a striking bull-ant with a deep red head and thorax, dark legs, and a black gaster dusted with fine golden hairs, giving it a unique black-and-gold appearance. This arid-dwelling species is an active daytime forager, using its sharp vision and powerful mandibles to hunt and explore its environment. With a bold yet efficient nature, Myrmecia froggatti is a standout species.

These ants are only for the most experienced keepers as they are incredibly fast and have a powerful sting that can last for days.

during the founding stages, keepers have more success with these ants when kept in tubs and tubes setup with weekly protein and honey offerings. These ants are semi-claustral and can have a very long gestation period with the founding stage being particularly difficult.
