Myrmecia Chrysogaster(First generation)

Black, gold, and red, what a beautiful combination of colors. And Myrmecia Chrysogaster has them all! these stunning little bull ants are quite active and love to jump around as they forage amongst leaf litter and on trees. although they are a small species of bull ant, they have the aggression and tenacity of their big sister species.

These ants are only for the most experienced keepers as they are incredibly fast and have a powerful sting that can last for days.

during the founding stages, keepers have more success with these ants when kept in tubs and tubes setup with weekly protein and honey offerings. These ants are semi-claustral and can have a very long gestation period with the founding stage being particularly difficult.
